The New Lutecia Arrives Soon

Announced last September at theParis Motor Show, thenew Lutecia (Clio in its home market)will finally land in Japan this July.

Available with a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder and 6-speed EDC

The new Lutecia (Clio in its home market), announced last September at the Paris Motor Show, will finally land in Japan this July.

The first model to arrive features a 1.2-liter inline 4-cylinder DOHC engine. Despite its displacement, it boasts direct injection and a turbocharger, delivering a maximum output of 120 ps. Torque reaches its peak of 190 Nm from just 2,000 rpm. This is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, known as 6EDC.

To the right is the concept car "DeZir," which pioneered Renault's design revolution.

The new Lutecia is the first product born from Renault's ongoing design reform. It adopts Renault's new design language, including the diamond-shaped corporate badge and the lines extending horizontally from it, inherited from the "DeZir" concept car.

In its home market, there are already variants such as the short wagon model "Clio Estate", which features a 201mm longer rear overhang, and the "Clio GT", which retains the 1.2-liter engine but features sportier suspension and chassis tuning, as well as the "Clio R.S." developed by Renault Sport. Of these, the Renault Sport version is scheduled for domestic introduction after the standard models.

Detailed specifications and pricing for the domestic models are scheduled to be announced at the end of July.
