Citroen C3 Arrives in Japan

Following a minor change,Geneva Motor Show 2013atannouncedCitroen's compact hatchback, the C3, is finally arriving in Japan. Sales will commence on July 5th.

Front Bumper and Grille Feature New Design

The compact hatchback "C3," characterized by its "Zenith Window" panoramic windshield, accounts for approximately 25% of all Citroen sales in Japan, making it a flagship model. Four months after the minor change model was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the new "C3" will finally be released in Japan.

The exterior is marked by changes to the front. Similar to the recently announced "C4 Picasso", the two lines forming Citroen's "double chevron" emblem, which rise at the center of the car and curve towards the headlights, have been redesigned. Additionally, LED lights are now integrated into the bumper below the headlights.

Five body colors are available. The new "Blue Ankle" and "Rouge Ruby" replace the previous "Gris Shark," "Bleu Beryl," and "Rouge Lucifer." The three colors "Blanc Banquise," "Noir Perlanera," and "Blanc Hickory" remain in the lineup.

Upgraded Standard Equipment

Two grades are offered: "Seduction" and "Exclusive." Both grades now feature an upgraded audio system with 8 speakers, up from 4. Furthermore, the Seduction grade, which previously had manual air conditioning as standard, now comes with automatic air conditioning, matching the Exclusive grade.

Inside, the interior has also been updated with changes to the seat design and new color options for the dashboard.

The engine remains the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder unit as before, producing a maximum output of 120ps and a peak torque of 160Nm. It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The launch date is July 5th. The price for the Seduction grade is 2.1 million yen, and the Exclusive grade is 2.4 million yen.
