Improved Fuel Economy with Transmission Change

Fiat Chrysler Japan will begin selling the 2014 model of the Jeep brand's entry-level model, the "Jeep Compass," from Saturday, July 13th. The Compass is a compact SUV with a strong character as a city cruiser, available in a 2WD configuration.

The new Compass's highlight in terms of driving performance is its improved fuel economy of 10.7 km/ℓ, achieved by adopting a new 6-speed "PowerTech" automatic transmission while retaining Jeep's signature off-road capability.



Additionally, the "Jeep Compass Sport" has been added as an entry-grade model. This "Sport" model is an FF model equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and is similar to the model previously offered as the "Jeep Compass Limited."

The "Limited" version for 2014 features a chrome-finished front grille and 18-inch aluminum wheels to enhance its premium feel. It is sold as a 4WD model equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine.

The price for the 2.0-liter engine, FF model "Jeep Compass Sport" is 2.65 million yen, and the 2.5-liter engine, 4WD "Jeep Compass Limited" with a lockable center coupling is
3.25 million yen.
