Volkswagen Group Japan has announced the "Polo Active," a special limited edition model, to commemorate 60 years of official Volkswagen sales in Japan. Equipped with Genuine Navigation and 15-inch Alloy Wheels, Plus Front Fog Lamps

The "Polo Active," the second limited edition model to celebrate 60 years of official Volkswagen imports to Japan, is based on the "Polo TSI Comfortline Bluemotion Technology." This model features a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine delivering 77kW (105ps) at 5,000rpm and 175Nm (17.8kgm) of torque between 1,500 and 4,100rpm. It also includes an idling stop function and a brake energy recovery system, achieving a fuel economy of 21.2km/ℓ under the JC08 test cycle.

The "Polo Active" was conceived with the idea of encouraging drivers to "enjoy drives to unfamiliar towns and even further, and to embrace an active car lifestyle." It comes equipped with the genuine navigation system "712SDCW," which allows for free map updates for two years. Furthermore, it features exclusive 5-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps, adding a more stylish touch.

The body color options include Shadow Blue Metallic, which is typically reserved for the top-tier grade, along with Candy White and Flash Red, making for a total of three colors.

Priced at 2.32 million yen, it represents a modest increase of 130,000 yen over the base grade.
