Adopts a Newly Designed Chassis with Enhanced Rigidity

As a completely new model from DS Automobiles, which became independent from Citroën in 2014, the "DS 7 Crossback" has now arrived in Japan, following the.

The body measures 4,120mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,550mm in height. It marks the first adoption of the completely new "CMP" platform. This new platform offers a 30% increase in rigidity compared to the old "PF1" platform, resulting in reduced noise and vibration, and lighter weight. It is also designed to accommodate full electric vehicles in the future.

The exterior features shark fin accents on the sides, subtly referencing the "DS 3." The adoption of retractable door handles further enhances its futuristic ambiance.

The engine is a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo, shared with models like the Peugeot "308" and Citroën "C4." It produces a maximum output of 96kW (130ps) and a peak torque of 230Nm, driving the front wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission (8EAT).

Two interior themes are available, named after iconic Parisian districts: "Bastille" and "Montmartre." The "Bastille" theme is for the entry-level "Be Chic" grade, while "Montmartre" is offered for the mid-range "So Chic" and the top-tier "Grand Chic" grades.

The interior also showcases DS Automobiles' signature avant-garde style and esprit, with details like "Clous de Paris" (guilloché engraving) on the center console and bold diamond patterns on the central dashboard switches and air vents.

Safety features are also comprehensive. The top-grade "Grand Chic" comes standard with "DS Drive Assist," which maintains a chosen lane position and integrates with the Active Cruise Control, and "DS Matrix LED Vision" headlights that automatically adjust based on the position and distance of preceding vehicles and oncoming traffic. The mid-grade "So Chic" and above also include Active Safety Brake as standard.

There are eight body colors available, including the new shades Blue Millenium and Or Impérial. The roof can be chosen from three colors: Blanc Oval, Noir Onyx, and Diamond Red, allowing for personalized combinations.

Pricing starts at 2.99 million yen for the entry-level "Be Chic," 3.57 million yen for the "So Chic," and 4.04 million yen for the top-grade "Grand Chic."
