The "Flying B" Mascot is Also Reimagined

The third-generation Flying Spur is hailed as the world's most advanced luxury grand tourer, offering the refinement of a limousine and the performance of a sports sedan, whether you're driving or being driven.

Designed, engineered, and handcrafted in Crewe, England, the home of Bentley, the new model features a completely new platform utilizing aluminum composite materials. Its dimensions are 5,316mm long, 1,978mm wide, and 1,484mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,194mm and a curb weight of 2,437kg.

The exterior features the "Flying B" mascot on the bonnet, a first since the nameplate's revival. This new design, created to mark Bentley's centenary and look towards the next 100 years, includes a welcome light and keyless entry system that automatically raises and illuminates the mascot as the driver approaches.

The LED matrix headlights, with a crystal-like brilliance, are designed to appear illuminated even when off by adding a chrome sleeve behind the lights. The rear lights, featuring a glowing "B" motif, adopt a new wrap-around design.

The interior offers enhanced spaciousness thanks to a 130mm increase in wheelbase over the previous generation. A wealth of options, including single or dual wood veneers and newly designed leather and diamond-quilted seats, create a luxurious ambiance. Simultaneously, it achieves an exquisite space that balances innovation with features like the HD digital instrument panel display, a digital touchscreen, analog dials, and the rotating "Bentley Rotating Display" that offers a choice of veneer, digital, or analog faces.

Powered by a 635ps W12 Twin-Turbo

The 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbo engine, ideally positioned thanks to the front axle being moved forward, produces a maximum output of 635ps and peak torque of 900Nm. Mated to a ZF 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, it achieves 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 333km/h. The top speed is reached in 6th gear, with 7th and 8th gears serving as overdrive for fuel-efficient grand touring.

The AWD system has been upgraded from the previous generation's fixed 40:60 front-to-rear torque split to an active system that defaults to rear-wheel drive during normal operation and automatically transfers torque to the front axle upon detecting changes in road surface or slip, ensuring balanced performance. In normal grip-focused driving, up to 480Nm can be sent to the front; in Sport mode, the front torque is limited to 280Nm, allowing for dynamic driving with ample torque sent to the rear.

Further enhancing the driving experience are systems that leave no compromise in comfort or performance: Electronic All-Wheel Steering, where the rear wheels steer in the same or opposite direction to the front depending on speed; a three-chamber air spring system that increases air volume by 60% over the previous generation to accommodate a wide range of driving from sporty to limousine-like comfort; Bentley Dynamic Ride, a 48V system where electronic actuators control the stiffness of the anti-roll bars; and the world's largest 420mm diameter front iron brakes.

The base price in Japan is ¥25,682,400, with deliveries scheduled for the second quarter of 2020.
