Bentley's New Flying Spur to Be Unveiled This Month

Bentley's four-door saloon, the Flying Spur, is about to undergo a full model change to its third generation.

It has been revealed that the new model will be equipped with a four-wheel steering system for the first time. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels to enhance vehicle stability, while at low speeds, they turn in the opposite direction to improve maneuverability.

While four-wheel drive will remain standard, rear-wheel drive will also be available, allowing for handling akin to a sports sedan. An active all-wheel-drive function will also be included, instantly sending power to the front wheels if slip is detected.

Additionally, Bentley Dynamic Ride, which adjusts suspension stiffness to minimize body roll caused by cornering forces, will be installed to enhance both handling and ride comfort.

Bentley itself states that "only the name has been carried over to this model change." The new Flying Spur is scheduled to be unveiled on Tuesday, June 11, at 11 AM UK time (7 PM Japan time).
