Announced in March this year, a new model has been added to the Cayenne Coupe, known for its sporty styling. The model range has been enhanced.

The newly introduced model is the "Cayenne S Coupe" with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo engine. It slots between the existing "Cayenne Coupe" with a 3.0-liter engine producing 250kW (340ps) and the "Cayenne Turbo Coupe" with a 4.0-liter engine producing 404kW (550ps).

The 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine in the S Coupe delivers a maximum output of 324kW (440ps) and a peak torque of 550Nm. It achieves a top speed of 263 km/h, and the 0-100 km/h sprint is recorded at 5 seconds with the standard Sport Chrono Package. With the optional Lightweight Sport Package, this figure drops to 4.9 seconds.

The engine features two turbochargers positioned in the center of the V-shaped cylinders. This design allows for a more compact engine and a lower center of gravity, enhancing lateral dynamics. Porsche claims that the shorter exhaust path between the combustion chambers and the turbochargers results in natural engine response and rapid acceleration.

Additionally, the Cayenne S Coupe comes standard with Power Steering Plus, 20-inch alloy wheels, ParkAssist, Surround View camera, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).

Pricing and arrival date in Japan are yet to be determined. We await further details.
