Logo Projector Casts "Decennium" Logo and Serial Number Onto the Ground

The limited edition "R8 V10 Decennium" bears the name "Decennium," Latin for 10 years. This model celebrates the 10th anniversary of Audi's 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine.

The 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine first appeared in theR8when it was released in 2009, and then in thesecond generationin 2015. The second generation featured further power upgrades, improved emissions through the addition of a fuel injection system to the intake manifold, and enhanced fuel efficiency via the Cylinder on Demand system, which allows one bank of five cylinders to be deactivated.

While the first generation's maximum output was 386 kW (525 ps), the latest iteration boasts up to 456 kW (620 ps) at 8,700 rpm. Its piston speed averages 26.9 m/s, surpassing that of F1 car engines. Machines equipped with this V10 engine have also excelled in racing circuits like GT3.

This limited edition "R8 V10 Decennium" is equipped with the latest engine, delivering 580 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 331 km/h.

The exterior, based on the R8 Coupé, features 20-inch wheels and a matte bronze finish on the 5.2 FSI engine's intake manifold for a cool aesthetic. The interior is predominantly black, with the diamond-pattern stitching on the sports seats also finished in gloss black, enhancing the sporty ambiance, much like the exterior.

Furthermore, the "Decennium" logo is affixed to the center console and doors. The logo projector displays not only the logo but also the serial number of each model onto the ground. As with other R8 models, the Audi Virtual Cockpit and MMI Navigation Plus are standard equipment.

Body color options include the exclusive Daytona Gray matte effect, as well as Suzuka Gray metallic and Myth Black metallic. Launching in spring 2019, coinciding with the new R8's release, the model is limited to 222 units worldwide and is priced at 222,000 euros (approximately 28 million yen).
