625ps maximum output, 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds
The current "M5," which debuted as the sixth generation last March. Developed by BMW M, responsible for high-performance vehicles, it is BMW's flagship luxury sports sedan, featuring a 4.4-liter V8 turbo engine and, for the first time in a BMW M sedan, the M-specific "M xDrive" all-wheel-drive system.
The newly released "M5 Competition" is an enhanced version of this M5, with further tuning to improve circuit driving performance. While sharing the same engine as the M5, it boasts a maximum output of 625ps, a 25ps increase, and achieves 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds.
Furthermore, BMW claims that lowering the ride height by 7mm and equipping the M Sport exhaust system enables a sportier and more dynamic driving experience.
In terms of design, based on the M5, the kidney grille, rear spoiler, and mirror caps, along with the iconic M model side gills and M Sport exhaust system, are finished in black, emphasizing a more aggressive character.
Additionally, for the first time in an M5, it adopts a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof. Combined with the aluminum engine hood featuring a muscular pattern and the front air intakes, it highlights the sporty presence of the M model.
The price is 18.23 million yen, 830,000 yen higher than the M5.
