Honda, which currently offers three SUV models in North America, has world premiered the new five-seater, mid-size SUV 'Passport.' It is positioned between the CR-V and Pilot in its category, and sales in the United States are scheduled to begin early next year.

The powertrain features a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 280 ps, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Honda claims that the combination of its four-wheel-drive system, 'i-VTM4,' which electronically controls the distribution of driving force between the front and rear wheels according to road conditions, and the 'Intelligent Traction Management' system, which allows switching between four driving modes optimized for scenarios such as gravel, mud, and snow, enhances off-road capability and driving stability under various conditions.

While the interior pursues a modern and refined design, the exterior, with its matte black grille and bumpers, conveys sportiness and toughness. The vehicle is fitted with 20-inch wheels.

In addition, safety features have been enhanced, including the 'Honda Sensing' suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies, which utilizes millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera for detection, alongside collision safety performance.

The Los Angeles Auto Show holds its press days from Tuesday, November 27, to Thursday, November 29. Public viewing will be open from Friday, November 30, to Sunday, December 9.
