Conceived for a One-Make Championship in 2020
The Lamborghini Urus ST-X Concept was developed by Squadra Corse, Lamborghini's motorsport division. It is conceived for a new one-make championship that combines circuit and off-road racing. The concept features further optimization compared to the production model, along with FIA-approved safety equipment such as a steel roll cage, a fire extinguisher, and an FT3-spec fuel tank.
The V8 twin-turbo engine produces a maximum output of 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The exterior is characterized by large air intakes for efficient cooling, a bare carbon fiber hood, a rear wing, race-spec exhausts arranged side-by-side in a new hexagonal design, and center-lock 21-inch alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli tires. It is painted in a matte green called Verde Mantis. By using dedicated racing parts, the body is 25% lighter than the production model.
The new championship is scheduled to debut in 2020 on specially prepared FIA-approved circuits in Europe and the Middle East. During race weekends, an "Arrive & Drive" package will be available, offering a complete race experience with car and technical support designed for the drivers. The ST-X is expected to make its track debut prior to this at the 2019 Lamborghini World Finals.
