A sporty special edition has arrived for the 5 Series, which underwent a full model change last year, evolving into its seventh generation after an eight-year hiatus.

The "523i M Spirit" sedan is based on the "523i" model, powered by a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 135kW (184ps) and peak torque of 135kW (184ps). Meanwhile, the wagon-type "523d Touring M Spirit" is based on the "523d Touring" model, featuring a diesel engine with a maximum output of 140kW (190ps) and 400Nm (40.8kgm) of torque. Both are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.



The special editions adopt the M Sport package, including sporty exterior design elements, M Sport suspension, and a dedicated steering wheel. The agile image is further enhanced by 18-inch alloy wheels.

Additionally, they are equipped with a Head-Up Display and Driving Assistant Plus, which enables partial autonomous driving.

The "523i M Spirit" sedan is priced at 6.95 million yen, and the "523d Touring M Spirit" wagon at 7.65 million yen.
