Ferrari Unveils the Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 Globally
On Tuesday, September 18th, Italian time, Ferrari announced the new limited special series, the Monza SP1 and Monza SP2. These are the first models in a new segment named "Icona," inspired by Ferraris of the 1950s, characterized by a blend of classical styling and cutting-edge sports car technology.

The Monza SP1 and SP2 incorporate elements reminiscent of names like the "750 Monza" and "860 Monza," as well as the "166MM," which was produced in only about 30 units from 1948.
The design was handled by Ferrari's design center. The Monza SP1 is a single-seat road car, while the SP2 is a two-seater model with the tonneau cover removed and a second wind protector and roll bar added.
Lacking a roof and windscreen, these cars achieve proportions impossible for traditional spiders, while Ferrari claims they offer an open-air speed experience akin to what a Formula driver would feel.
The body and interior utilize carbon fiber, achieving a lightweight construction of 1,500 kg for the SP1 and 1,520 kg for the SP2. The 6.5-liter V12 engine produces a maximum output of 603 kW (810 hp) and peak torque of 718 Nm, with a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is 2.9 seconds, and 0-200 km/h is 7.9 seconds, enabling handling characteristics free from the roll typical of sports cars.
For purchasers, apparel and accessories such as racing suits, helmets, gloves, and racing shoes, created in collaboration with luxury brands like Loro Piana and Berluti, will also be available.
