Tiguan Also Features Limited Edition "R-Line Black Style"

Volkswagen Group Japan is introducing diesel models for the "Tiguan," which was fully redesigned and launched in Japan last year, and the compact minivan "Golf Touran."

The engines are shared, combining a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing a maximum output of 110 kW (150 ps) and a maximum torque of 110 kW (150 ps) with a 7-speed DSG transmission.

In the Tiguan, the diesel engine is paired with the "4MOTION" all-wheel-drive system and "4MOTION Active Control," which allows selection of four driving modes such as snow and off-road, enabling stable driving even on rough roads or in adverse weather conditions.

For the Tiguan, diesel engines are available in the entry-grade "Connect Line," "Highline," and the upper-grade "R-Line." The limited-edition "Tiguan TDI 4MOTION R-Line Black Style" is based on the "R-Line," with exterior chrome parts and alloy wheels replaced by black paint, and premium equipment standardized.

Meanwhile, two grades are available for the Touran: "Comfortline" and "Highline."

The Tiguan's body colors include seven options such as white and blue metallic, with prices starting at 4.086 million yen for the Comfortline, 4.94 million yen for the Highline, and 5.24 million yen for the R-Line.

The limited-edition "Tiguan TDI 4MOTION R-Line Black Style" is limited to a total of 450 units, with 300 in Deep Black Pearl Effect and 150 in Oryx Mother-of-Pearl Effect, priced at 5.54 million yen.

The Touran is available in six colors, with the Comfortline priced at 3.699 million yen and the Highline at 4.079 million yen.
