410ps Maximum Output, Enhanced Cooling and Suspension
The "M2 Competition," replacing the previous "M2," is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-power turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 410ps at 5,250rpm and a peak torque of 550Nm between 2,350-5,200rpm.
It adopts the same cooling system as the higher-tier "M4," with additional radiators and oil coolers to maximize its potential, while achieving a fuel efficiency of 11.2 km/L (for the 7-speed M DCT model).
Furthermore, a strut brace made of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) is installed under the hood to enhance rigidity. The adoption of large-diameter M sport brakes also strengthens braking performance. The dampers and stabilizers feature dedicated tuning for the reinforced suspension, and the dynamic stability control (DSC) settings and chassis have been further refined to achieve driving performance befitting a high-performance sports coupe.
In terms of design, the front fascia appears more aggressive with larger air intakes for improved cooling, a high-gloss black double-bar kidney grille that appears connected on both sides, and aerodynamic M mirrors with a double-ridge design.
Exclusive 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, large-diameter brake discs, grey metallic finished calipers, and the high-gloss black "M2 Competition" badge on the rear emphasize its special status.
Inside, the interior has been updated with a dedicated instrument panel that displays the M2 Competition logo upon engine start, a steering wheel with "M1" and "M2" buttons for recalling preferred setups based on driving conditions, and sports seats designed to support track driving.
The price is ¥8,730,000 for the 6-speed manual model and ¥8,980,000 for the 7-speed M DCT model.
