Special Features Include Sunroof and Head-Up Display

The "XC90," a 7-seater SUV that underwent a full model change in 2016 to become the second generation, now welcomes its first limited edition.

Based on the entry-grade "XC90 T5 AWD Momentum," this limited edition boasts special equipment such as a "Panorama Glass Sunroof," a "Harman/Kardon Premium Sound Audio System" not available on the standard Momentum trim, a head-up display, and exclusive 20-inch five double-spoke alloy wheels. The interior also features a color combination that evokes Scandinavian design.

The powertrain consists of a 2-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine producing a maximum output of 187 kW (254 hp) and a peak torque of 350 Nm (35.7 kgm). Power is delivered to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Limited to a total of 150 units across three body colors—50 units in Crystal White Pearl, 50 in Bright Silver Metallic, and 50 in Onyx Black Metallic—the price is set at 8.39 million yen, an increase of 500,000 yen over the base model.

In conjunction with this release, some specifications and prices for the catalog model XC90 have also been adjusted. The higher-grade "Inscription" model now comes standard with the "Tailored Dashboard & Inner Door Panel Top" and the "Harman/Kardon Premium Sound Audio System."

The new prices are 7.89 million yen for the "T5 AWD Momentum," 9.54 million yen for the "T6 AWD Inscription," and 10.84 million yen for the "T8 Twin Engine AWD Inscription."
