Performance on Par with the Coupe
A special model from M has arrived for the four-door version of the 6 Series, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe"6 Series Gran Coupe."
Similar to the relationship between the standard 6 Series and the 6 Series Gran Coupe, the "M6 Gran Coupe" is also positioned as a 4-door version of the M6 Coupe"M6 Coupe." The engine is the same as the M6: a 4,395cc V8 engine with a maximum output of 412kW (560ps) at 6,000-7,000rpm and a maximum torque of 680Nm at 1,500-5,750rpm, boosted by twin-scroll turbochargers. 0-100km/h acceleration is 4.2 seconds. The top speed of 250km/h is electronically limited; with the "M Driver's Package," this limit is raised to 305km/h.
It inherits M6 features such as the large front air intakes and the CFRP roof, while flared wheel arches, aerodynamically sculpted mirrors, and 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels assert its "M" identity. The brakes are compound brake systems as standard, with carbon-ceramic brakes available as an option.
It also incorporates features like launch control to maximize the M6 Gran Coupe's acceleration, a low-speed assistant for enhanced ride comfort, and an engine auto start-stop function.
Fuel consumption is 9.9L/100km. CO2 emissions are 232g. These figures are also consistent with the M6.
