Four Body Colors Highlighted by Red Accents

Lotus is celebrating its 70th anniversary, marking 70 years since founder Colin Chapman built his first car in 1948. The "Exige 70th Anniversary Edition," previously released in Europe as a limited run of 25 units, will now be available in Japan with a limited production.

The base model is the "Exige Sport 500," developed to embody Lotus's design philosophy of "lighter, faster," offering enjoyment on both public roads and the track.

To achieve its light weight, the chassis is constructed entirely of aluminum, and the body is made of fiberglass, resulting in a featherlight 1,125kg body. The car is powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine, producing a maximum output of 350ps and peak torque of 400Nm. It achieves 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

Four special body colors are offered: 7 units in Monaco White, 2 in Empire Green, 2 in Dark Metallic, and 5 in Essex Blue.

Red serves as an accent color, featured on the access panels and hardtop with Sport Red paint stripes, as well as the "Lotus 70" build plate and stickers, unique to this special model. The interior also incorporates red accents effectively.

Additional features include carbon sports seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, and two-piece high-performance brake discs.

A total of 16 units will be sold, with prices starting at ¥10,584,000.
