The four-door compact "I.D. Cross" and the "wagon bus"-inspired "I.D. Buzz", Volkswagen plans to introduce more than 20 EV models by 2025.
Newly, the concept car "I.D. VIZZION", the fourth model in the I.D. series and developed as a premium saloon, will have its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.
The biggest feature of the "I.D. VIZZION" is its "Digital Chauffeur" equipped with various assistance systems utilizing autonomous driving technology. It is envisioned that the car will be controlled via voice and gesture controls, without the use of a steering wheel or visible controls.
The car's instructions will be received by the AI system's "Virtual Host," which learns passengers' personal preferences and caters to each occupant individually.
The "I.D. VIZZION", characterized by its suicide doors, measures 5.11 meters in length and seats four. The system power is 225 kW, with a top speed of 180 km/h. Volkswagen claims that its two electric motors drive all four wheels, and with its 111 kWh lithium-ion battery and regenerative braking, it can achieve a driving range of up to 665 km.
The Geneva Motor Show will be open to the public from Thursday, March 8 to Sunday, March 18, following press days on Tuesday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 7, in Geneva, Switzerland.
