The new Rolls-Royce "Cullinan" is the second model to adopt the "Architecture of Luxury," an all-aluminum spaceframe structure newly developed by the company, following the "Phantom" which debuted last year.

"Cullinan" is the name given to the world's largest diamond, discovered in South Africa in 1905. The South African government purchased it for £150,000 and presented it to King Edward VII of England as a fitting jewel for the monarch on his 66th birthday. It was sent to Britain after a grand adventure.

Like the Cullinan diamond, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan has continued its journey (development) to be able to travel effortlessly and comfortably in any environment, from the scorching deserts of Africa and the Middle East, to the frozen snowy roads of the Arctic Circle, the grassy valleys of the Scottish Highlands, and the towering canyons of North America.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce, commented, "We were inspired by the magnificence of the natural world that produced the Cullinan diamond. The name Cullinan embodies many facets of the philosophy behind this new vehicle, representing its resilience under extreme pressure, its absolute solidity, its rarity and preciousness, the pioneering and adventurous spirit of Charles Rolls, the technical innovation of Sir Henry Royce, and of course, the absolute luxury that makes it stand out wherever it travels in the world." He further emphasized, "Just like the world's largest diamond, the 'Cullinan,' it appears in its perfect form, eclipsing all others."
