The "LF-1 Limitless" is a concept model announced as Lexus's flagship crossover. Measuring 5,014mm long, 1,986mm wide, and 1,605mm high, it features a long hood, a cabin set back towards the rear, and a low-slung stance.
The interior blends a cutting-edge interface with a relaxing space created by a long wheelbase of 2,974mm. In the front, a motion controller detects driver gestures for operation, and intuitive displays are used. Furthermore, the absence of a traditional shift lever, with shift operations including park and reverse consolidated onto the steering wheel, along with minimal switches, creates a simple cockpit.
The rear seats offer ample legroom and can be controlled via a multi-operation panel for the rear-seat entertainment system and comfort features.
Lexus aims to have all its models electrified by 2025, offering either EV/PHEV-only vehicles or electrified grades. The "LF-1 Limitless" is envisioned to accommodate powertrains including gasoline engines, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, electric, and fuel cells.
Additionally, as Lexus's proposal for autonomous driving technology, it features a Chauffeur Mode where the vehicle handles driving operations to the destination. It also incorporates a 4D Navigation system that integrates the concept of time into navigation, making decisions based on vehicle and traffic conditions to suggest breaks, restaurant reservations, and hotel bookings.
