A Special Edition Model Emphasizing Design, Based on the 2018 Model, is Also Available
The biggest feature of the 2018 Range Rover Evoque model is the addition of diesel variants. The "INGENIUM" engine, designed and manufactured entirely by Jaguar Land Rover, has been introduced for both gasoline and diesel powertrains.
Both gasoline and diesel engines employ a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The diesel engine produces a maximum output of 180ps and a maximum torque of 430Nm.
The gasoline engine, which produces a maximum output of 240ps and a maximum torque of 340Nm, achieves a 15 percent improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation. It is set to deliver maximum torque at the practical rotational speed of 1,250rpm.
Furthermore, a special edition model, the "Landmark Edition," based on the "SE PLUS" 2018 model, will also be released simultaneously. The body colors available are Moraine Blue, Yulong White, and Corris Grey, with a Carpathian Grey contrast roof, creating a design-focused model.
The optional equipment is also extensive. Connectivity features have been introduced to the "InControl Touch Pro" infotainment system, allowing users to unlock doors, operate the air conditioning, and check driving history and vehicle status remotely via smartphone apps. In emergencies, it can also connect to Smart Roadside Assistance and SOS Emergency Call. Additional optional safety equipment is also available.
There are three body styles available for both gasoline and diesel engines. The 5-door model comes in five grades, including the "Landmark Edition," while the Coupe and Convertible models each have one grade, for a total of eight models.
Prices for the gasoline models range from 5.02 million yen to 8.35 million yen for the 5-door, with the "Landmark Edition" priced at 6.69 million yen. The Coupe is 7.205 million yen, and the Convertible is 7.68 million yen. For the diesel models, the 5-door ranges from 5.21 million yen to 8.55 million yen, with the "Landmark Edition" at 6.88 million yen. The Coupe is 7.405 million yen, and the Convertible is 7.88 million yen.
