The Front Grille Adopts a Design Evoking the 300SL

The "AMG GT" was born in 2014 as a sports car entirely developed in-house by Mercedes-AMG. Its power output has been increased, and a new design has been adopted for the front grille.

In terms of powertrain, the output of the 4-liter V8 direct-injection turbo engine has been improved. The "GT" sees its maximum output increased by 10 kW (14 ps) to 350 kW (476 ps), and its maximum torque has been tuned up by 30 Nm to 630 Nm. Meanwhile, the higher-spec "GT S" has its maximum output enhanced by 9 kW (12 ps) to 384 kW (522 ps), and its maximum torque is 670 Nm, an increase of 20 Nm over the previous model.

In terms of design, the front grille features the "AMG Panamericana Grille," which evokes the "300 SL" racing car that won the legendary "Carrera Panamericana Mexico" race held in 1952. This accentuates its sporty individuality.
