Following the "LF-LC" unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show this year, Lexus will exhibit the "LF-LC Blue," a second version of the "LF-LC," at the Australian International Motor Show.
The body color has been changed from the red of the "LF-LC" announced in Detroit to "Opal Blue," inspired by Australian opals. The interior, previously featuring wood paneling, is now finished in white and brown.
Minor Change to the Flagship Saloon "LS"The spindle grille, which has become a fixture with the Lexus LS 2013 model, the design with L-shaped motifs resembling arrowheads scattered throughout, the deeply sculpted air intakes unique to the "LF-LC," the glass roof, and the cantilevered lightweight glass C-pillars, inspired by architecture and fixed on one side only with the other end unattached, are all the same as the previously announced LF-LC.
Inherited from the LFA, the body, a combination of Lexus's proprietary carbon fiber and aluminum alloy, is both lightweight and highly rigid. This is where the hybrid powertrain, the brand's ultimate weapon, is mounted.
While details of this powertrain were previously unknown, some information has finally been released. According to this, a powerful and highly efficient Atkinson cycle engine is combined with a battery that is lighter and produces more power than current Lexus batteries. As a result, the combined maximum output of the engine and motor is said to be 372kW (500ps).
Lexus, with this "LF-LC," is determined to show the direction of sports cars to come. It appears to serve not just as a concept, but also as a kind of practice model for Lexus's future car manufacturing.
