Renault Sport tunes the engine and chassis

Last July, the " Twingo" underwent a full model change with an RR layout. The "GT," newly tuned by Renault Sport, will be available next year as a standard model, with a limited-edition version being released in advance.

While the engine is the same 0.9-liter 3-cylinder gasoline turbo as the Twingo, the body incorporates side air intakes, and the fuel supply, engine cooling, and exhaust system have been improved. Maximum output has increased by 14kW to 80kW (109ps), and maximum torque has increased by 35Nm to 170Nm (17.3kgm). The limited edition model is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The accelerator, connecting the driver and engine, incorporates technology from the "Megane R.S." and contributes to quick acceleration. Additionally, there are two driving modes: Normal and Eco.

The chassis features dedicated components with modified damper settings, and the anti-roll bars have been reinforced with larger diameter units. Furthermore, while the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) intervenes later compared to the standard model, Renault claims it controls the vehicle to prevent rear-wheel slides even on winding corners.

The design follows that of the concept car " Twin'Run" announced in 2013. The wheels are 17-inch alloy wheels with the same design as the Twin'Run, and decals also evoke the design of the Twin'Run.

The body color is Orange Blaze Metallic. The interior also incorporates orange, emphasizing a sense of unity and design.

The limited production run is 200 units. The price is 2.24 million yen.
