Mercedes-AMG G 65 Equipment Updates


Mercedes-Benz Japan has announced that orders will be accepted for a limited time, from September 26 to the end of December 2017, for the Mercedes-AMG "G65" off-roader, which features enhanced equipment.

3,000 Customization Options Available, Priced at ¥39 Million


The Mercedes-BenzG-ClassSince its launch in 1979, the G-Class has evolved while maintaining its fundamental styling and robust body, constantly incorporating optimized powertrains and equipment. It represents the pinnacle of the brand's SUV lineup, a premium cross-country vehicle.


The Mercedes-AMG "G 65" is the most powerful model, equipped with an AMG 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo engine. This update introduces exclusive body and interior colors, along with new trim options, allowing for over 3,000 customization possibilities. Additionally, exclusive optional packages, not normally available, can now be selected.


The exterior gains nine new sophisticated and distinctive designo body colors, including designo Desert Sand and designo Magno Alaniite Grey. For the interior, AMG Carbon Fiber trim has been introduced, alongside two new options: "designo Champagne White Piano Lacquer Trim" and "designo Satin Light Brown Poplar Wood Trim." Customers can now choose from over 3,000 combinations of interior and exterior colors and trim options at no additional cost.

Furthermore, two exclusive package options are available at no extra charge to accentuate the individuality of the Mercedes-AMG G 65. The "Exclusive Edition" combines an off-roader-appropriate stainless steel underguard and exterior with dark aluminum-look strip lines, and an interior enhanced with exclusive features such as carbon-look leather seats. The "Night Package" enhances the sporty impression with a glossy black accent on the front fender, front and rear bumpers, and black-painted 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels.


The AMG-manufactured 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo gasoline engine mounted at the front remains unchanged, producing a maximum output of 463 kW (630 PS at 5,000-5,300 rpm) and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm (at 2,300-4,300 rpm). The price also remains ¥39 million. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in March 2018.
