LaFerrari Aperta Auctioned for 1.077 Billion Yen!

A celebratory event was held at the Fiorano Circuit, Ferrari's test track, to mark the 70th anniversary. Various events unfolded over two days to honor the milestone.

The auction drew significant attention. Thirty-eight Ferraris, ranging from classic models to specially customized vehicles, were up for bid, including a unique aluminum-bodied "365 GTB/4" that had been dormant in a barn in Gifu Prefecture for many years. The total proceeds from the auction reached 63 million euros (approximately 8.2 billion yen).

Among these, the highest bid was for a special edition of the open-top hybrid sports car "LaFerrari Aperta", which was created to commemorate Ferrari's 70th anniversary. It fetched an astonishing 8.3 million euros (approximately 107.7 million yen). The entire amount was donated to "Save the Children" to provide education for underprivileged children worldwide.

Additionally, 120 historic cars were displayed, and an event was held to select a special car in each category – racing and road cars. The titles were awarded to the 1953 "340 MM Spider Vignale," which had a racing career, and the 1986 "Testarossa Spider," a special order made to commemorate Gianni Agnelli's 20th anniversary as chairman of Fiat.

In the evening, the "Rosso 70" show unfolded, showcasing Ferrari's history and creating a glamorous atmosphere.
