Adopts "3D Skin Technology" that sandwiches patterns inside the paint surface
DS, which has previously introduced innovative body colors and two-tone color schemes, has now unveiled a unique limited edition that combines matte body colors, a trend gaining attention in recent years, with intricate patterns.
Its most distinctive feature is the "3D Skin Technology," a special painting technique that sandwiches a design motif, inspired by the DS monogram, within the paint layers. This process transfers the pattern onto the base color, creating a visually three-dimensional effect.
The patterns, applied to the waistline and around the tailgate, are then coated with a clear finish, followed by a matte paint for a final, subdued look. The result is a body color that exudes a cool, all-black aesthetic.
The interior also features a black theme, with leather sports seats. Accents like the titanium parts used for the inner door handles, created using 3D laser printing technology, add a touch of sophistication to this model.
The powertrain consists of a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline turbo engine producing 110 hp, paired with a 6-speed EAT transmission.
A limited run of 60 units will be available, priced at 3.03 million yen.
