Lexus Adds Two-Row, Five-Seat Model to LX Lineup

Lexus has revised specifications for its flagship SUV, the LX, and began sales on August 3rd.

Subtle Convenience Features Also Added

Measuring 5,080mm in length, 1,980mm in width, and 1,910mm in height, it is the largest model in the Lexus SUV lineup, theLXLX. Originally sold in regions such as North America, the Middle East, and Russia, it was introduced to Japan in August 2015.

The LX has now undergone specification changes. The most significant update is the addition of a two-row, five-seat configuration as a manufacturer option, complementing the existing three-row, seven-seat setup. In this configuration, the vehicle's weight is reduced by 50kg to 2,680kg. Furthermore, a new color, Sonic Quartz, has been added to the exterior paint options, bringing the total to seven colors. The 18-inch or 21-inch aluminum wheels, available as options, also feature a new design.

Additionally, subtle changes include the addition of a trailer hitch for towing trailers, puddle lights on the door mirrors, and an air conditioner that generates "nanoe" ions, all now standard.

The powertrain remains unchanged: a 5.7-liter V8 engine producing a maximum output of 277kW (377ps) and a peak torque of 534Nm (54.5kgm), paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, driving all four wheels. The price is ¥11.15 million.
