Smartphone Connects to Infotainment Screen via Dedicated App

With the theme of "Explore," evoking the idea of embarking on an adventurous journey,Launched in Japan in January 2014Renault's compact SUV,Capturhas been released in two special edition variants.

The "Captur Premium," one of the new arrivals, is equipped with features such as leather seats with seat heaters and a leather steering wheel. The "Captur Expression," on the other hand, features Renault's traditional fabric seats.

Both models are equipped with a radio that can connect to a smartphone via the dedicated app "R&Go." By connecting via Bluetooth, users can display four functions—vehicle information, phone, navigation, and more—turning the smartphone screen into an information display.

The powertrain for both variants is a 1.2-liter turbo engine producing a maximum output of 87 kW (118 ps) and a maximum torque of 205 Nm (20.9 kgm), paired with a 6-speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission.

The Expression is available in three body colors: white, orange, and blue. The Premium adds cappuccino and red, bringing the total to five colors. The Expression is priced at 2.54 million yen, while the Premium is 2.66 million yen.
