Competition Variants Enhance Driving Dynamics for M3 and M4
On May 9 (Tuesday), BMW introduced a minor update to its high-performance M3 and M4 models. Furthermore, it has launched "Competition" variants with enhanced driving performance.

Facelift Also Implemented
Born in 1986 and now in its fifth generation, theM3" The " M4" was introduced in 2013 as the successor to the fourth-generation M3 Coupe.
This minor update primarily features a facelift. Adaptive LED headlights with daytime running light function have been adopted, and LED taillights are also incorporated at the rear. New 19-inch alloy wheels have been added to the wheels.
Inside, carbon fiber trim and a new surround sound system are now standard equipment.
Additionally, this minor update introduces the sportier "Competition" variants for both the M3 and M4. The 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine found in the standard M3 and M4 has been tuned to produce 331 kW (450 ps), an increase of 14 kW (19 ps) over the standard models, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.0 seconds for European specifications.
Furthermore, adaptive M suspension with specially modified damper and stabilizer characteristics has been introduced. In terms of design, special features include 20-inch wheels, a high-gloss black kidney grille, and exclusive seats and seatbelts.
The price for the M3 is 11.85 million yen, and the M3 Competition is 12.56 million yen, both equipped with a 7-speed M DCT (M Double Clutch Transmission). For the M4, the 6-speed manual model is 11.57 million yen, the 7-speed M DCT model is 12.08 million yen, and the M4 Competition, also with a 7-speed M DCT transmission, is 12.79 million yen.
