4.0-Liter V8 Engine in the Lineup

The current S-Class, introduced in 2013has received a significant update.

The new lineup includes the Mercedes-Benz "S 560 4MATIC" and Mercedes-Maybach "S 560 4MATIC," powered by a new 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. While producing a maximum output of 345 kW (469 ps) and a peak torque of 700 Nm, it boasts fuel economy of 8.5 L/100 km (approximately 11.76 km/L) under EU standards, thanks to features like cylinder deactivation.

Additionally, the lineup will include the Mercedes-Benz "S 350 d 4MATIC" and "S 400 d 4MATIC" with inline-six diesel engines, as well as a plug-in hybrid model capable of traveling up to 50 km on electric power alone.

For Mercedes-AMG, the "S 63 4MATIC+" debuts, adopting a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine to replace the previous 5.5-liter V8. Its maximum output reaches 450 kW (612 ps) with a peak torque of 900 Nm.

Beyond the powertrain, new features include optional Multibeam LED and Ultra Range High Beam for enhanced nighttime visibility, and the Energizing comfort control, which allows for integrated adjustment of interior comfort functions such as air conditioning, fragrance, and ambient lighting to suit the occupants' mood and atmosphere.

Furthermore, autonomous driving functions have also evolved significantly to the next generation.

Details of the new S-Class, appearing for the first time in four years, will be delivered in a follow-up report.
