A Kangoo Special Edition for Enjoying Drives with Pets

Renault Japon announced on Thursday, March 30, a special edition model, the "Kangoo With Pet," designed for safer and more comfortable outings with pets, with a limited production of 20 units.

The Kangoo is known for its simple exterior and functional, spacious interior. In Europe, it's affectionately called "LUDOSPACE," meaning "space for play." To bring this concept to pets, the special edition "Kangoo With Pet" has been jointly developed with Aeon Pet.

Last year, Renault Japon and Aeon Pet collaborated on the "Kangoo Doctor Car," a special edition designed for rapid deployment of veterinarians, animal nurses, and groomers to disaster-stricken areas. This special edition vehicle marks their second collaboration.

The "Kangoo With Pet" comes equipped with exclusive seat covers, a special logo, a rear camera, and a navigation system that displays the special logo, along with pet special items carefully selected by veterinarians.

The included items feature a hammock-style seat cover that attaches to the rear seats to protect them from dirt and water, a seatbelt attachment for easily securing pets by their collars, a "Belt Tube"簡易 drive house for pets, and a portable "Room in Wan-Touch Dog Run" – a total of seven items.

The base model is the "Zen AT" entry-grade trim, powered by a 1.6-liter engine producing a maximum output of 78 kW (105 ps) and a peak torque of 148 Nm (15.1 kgm).

Limited to 20 units, the body colors are "Jaune Agrume" (Yellow) with 10 units and "Bleu Étoile Metallic" with 10 units. Applications are open until Monday, April 17th, and a lottery will be held if applications exceed the available units. The price is set at 2,415,000 yen, the same as the base model.
