Volkswagen has announced the introduction of an "R-Line Package" for the "Sport" trim, the top-tier grade of "The Beetle" sold in Europe, designed to enhance its sporty appearance.

Volkswagen, for "The Beetle" sold in Europe,"The Beetle"announced the introduction of the "R-Line Package," an optional package designed to further enhance the sporty appeal of its top-tier grade, "Sport."

The "Sport" model, which serves as the base for the "R-Line Package," is available with three engine options. These include a 1.4-liter inline-four gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 118 kW (160 ps), a 2-liter inline-four engine producing 147 kW (200 ps), and a 2-liter inline-four diesel engine producing 103 kW (140 ps).
The "R-Line Package" is divided into an exterior and an interior package, with the exterior package available for individual order.
The exterior package includes a dedicated front bumper, diffuser, side panels, and "R-Line" emblems positioned below the A-pillars. While 18-inch alloy wheels are standard, optional 19-inch wheels in white or black, paired with 235/40 tires, are also available.
The interior package, on the other hand, features sports seats with highly breathable fabric, headrests with R-Line logos, and a dedicated leather-finished steering wheel, shift knob, and handbrake lever. Black leather seats with R-Line logos can also be selected as an option.
In Europe, the "R-Line Package" is priced at 1,290 euros (approximately 129,000 yen) for the exterior package alone, and 1,675 euros (approximately 167,500 yen) when including the interior package.
