The Audi Q3 Receives a Sporty Facelift


Audi Japan announced on Monday, March 6th, that the compact SUVQ3has had its front design changed and sales have begun.

New Front Bumper Adopted for Optional 'S line package' and More



The compact SUV, launched in 2011,Q3has gained a sportier front design.



The powertrain for the 'Q3 1.4 TFSI' and 'Q3 1.4 TFSI sport' is a combination of a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder turbo and a 6-speed S tronic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 150 ps and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.



Meanwhile, the 'Q3 2.0 TFSI quattro' with a 2.0-liter turbo engine records a maximum output of 180 ps or 220 ps, and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and a full-time all-wheel-drive system.



In this specification change, the front bumpers of the '1.4 TFSI sport' and '2.0 TFSI quattro' have been enlarged. The air inlets are in high-gloss black, and the grille bars are finished in anthracite, creating a sportier appearance.

Additionally, the optional 'S line package' and 'S line exterior package' also feature a new front bumper. The air inlets are honeycomb black, and with struts in the same color as the body that extend horizontally, they are divided into upper and lower sections, giving it a sharp expression.



Incidentally, there are no changes to the '1.4 TFSI' and 'RS Q3 performance'.



Prices are 3.69 million yen for the '1.4 TFSI', 3.86 million yen for the '1.4 TFSI sport', 4.59 million yen for the '2.0 TFSI quattro 180 ps', 5.39 million yen for the '2.0 TFSI quattro 220 ps', and 8.18 million yen for the 2.5-liter turbo 'RS Q3 performance'.
