The Fastest Production Bentley Ever
The Continental Supersports marks the fastest production Bentley to date. It is the sportiest iteration of the Continental series, blending supercar-level speed with Bentley's signature refinement.
The "Supersports" nameplate carries a legacy from a legendary past model. The first generation is said to have been produced in a mere 16 units in 1920. Following the second generation unveiled in 2009, this marks the third iteration.
The powertrain is the same 6-liter W12 engine found in theContinental GTContinental GT Speed. However, the turbochargers and intercoolers have been redesigned specifically for this model, boosting the maximum output to 522kW (710ps), an increase of 80ps over the previous generation. Maximum torque also sees a significant enhancement of 217Nm, delivering a formidable 1,017Nm.
Paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the coupe achieves a top speed of 336km/h, while the convertible reaches 330km/h. Acceleration from 0-100km/h is a brisk 3.5 seconds for the coupe and 3.9 seconds for the convertible.
The braking system features carbon-ceramic brakes with enhanced cooling, boasting the world's largest disc sizes. The 21-inch wheels, which house these brakes, are also of a lightweight design.
The all-wheel-drive system, a hallmark of Bentley, is tuned to send more torque to the rear wheels, typically distributing 60 percent to the rear, while optimizing front-to-rear torque split based on traction.
Furthermore, the torque-vectoring system, first introduced in the Continental GT3-R, has been updated. With dedicated calibration, it contributes to the car's agile handling.
The design incorporates carbon fiber elements throughout the exterior, with revised front and rear bumpers. Inside, the cabin features a three-color interior for the first time in a Continental GT, with diamond-quilted patterns adorning the seats and door panels.
Orders for the Continental Supersports have already commenced in its home market, with deliveries scheduled to begin in April.
