M Sport Package Added, Emphasizing Dynamic Driving and Styling

BMW has added the M Sport Package to the hybrid model "ActiveHybrid 5" of the 5 Series sedan. Sales began on the 29th.

Carbon Black Available as Exclusive Color

The "ActiveHybrid 5," which balances BMW's signature driving performance with the efficiency of a hybrid model, now features the "M Sport Package" for a sportier aesthetic, with sales commencing.

The "ActiveHybrid 5" combines a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder turbo engine with an electric motor to assist propulsion. It's a full-fledged hybrid vehicle capable of 3-4 km of EV driving at speeds below 60 km/h, yet it delivers the "sheer driving pleasure" that is BMW's motto.

The newly available optional "M Sport Package" enhances its driving appeal and creates a more dynamic styling through dedicated equipment developed by BMW M.

The exterior features an "M Aerodynamics Package" consisting of a dedicated front apron, side skirts, and rear skirt, along with double-spoke 18-inch M light-alloy wheels, creating a powerfully sculpted appearance.

Inside, the car is equipped with sports seats featuring side support for excellent hold during cornering, and an "M Sport leather steering wheel" with a thick rim and a distinctive shape that fits the thumb, ensuring a secure grip. The black "Anthracite roof lining" creates a refined cabin atmosphere.

Additionally, it adopts an 8-speed sports automatic transmission for quicker gear changes. The steering wheel is also fitted with paddle shifters.

Available in seven colors, Carbon Black is offered as an exclusive M Sport color. The price for the "ActiveHybrid 5" itself is 8.5 million yen, with the M Sport Package priced at 370,000 yen.
