3.0-Liter V6 Diesel Model Introduced

The 2017 model year " Range Rover" and " Range Rover Sport" sees the addition of the "TDV6," a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine model producing 258ps and 600Nm of torque. This is arguably the biggest news.

Looking inside, the 12.3-inch instrument cluster, which can also function as a full-screen navigation display for the driver, and the intuitive 10.2-inch "InControl Touch Pro" infotainment system are now standard on all grades.

"InControl Touch Pro" can be enhanced with an optional communication function, allowing conversation with an operator by pressing a button above the interior in case of roadside assistance or a passenger's sudden illness. Furthermore, the system enables vehicle location tracking, trip data, remote climate control, and locking via an app.

For safety, the Blind Spot Monitor, which detects vehicles approaching from behind and flashes a warning on the mirror, and the Blind Spot Assist, which applies counter-steering force to avoid collisions when the driver attempts a lane change, are now available as options.

The 2017 Range Rover lineup also introduces the "SVAutobiography Dynamic" grade, designed and developed by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO). This model is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine delivering 550ps and 680Nm of torque. Its unique suspension optimizes performance and handling, and the vehicle sits 8mm lower than standard models. The exterior features exclusive designs and a variety of colors, while the interior offers a luxurious space.

The Range Rover offers five models with the 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, including the "SVAutobiography" developed by SVO. Additionally, there are three 3.0-liter V6 supercharged 8-speed automatic models and two diesel models, totaling 10 variants. Prices range from 13.77 million yen for the 3.0-liter gasoline "Vogue" to 29.44 million yen for the "SVAutobiography."

The "Range Rover Sport" also features two models with the 5.0-liter V8 supercharged 8-speed automatic, including the SVR"SVR," three models with the 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine (8-speed AT), and three diesel models (8-speed AT). Prices range from 8.6 million yen for the 3.0-liter gasoline "SE" to 16.48 million yen for the top-grade "SVR."
