Bentley Unveils Details of Continental GT Speed

Bentley Motors has announced that the sporty "Continental GT Speed" model of the Continental GT will have its world premiere at the Moscow Motor Show, which begins on the 29th, and has revealed its details.

The Bentley "Continental GT Speed" is equipped with a 6-liter W12 twin-turbo engine. It delivers overwhelming power with a maximum output of 625 ps and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. This is 50 ps and 100 Nm more than the base model, theContinental GT"Continental GT". The transmission is a newly designed ZF 8-speed automatic. The vehicle height is lowered by 10 mm, and it is a permanent all-wheel drive with a torque split of 40 percent front and 60 percent rear.

Despite its considerable weight of 2.3 tons, the high dynamic performance is evident, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h, the fastest in Bentley's history.

On the other hand, the entire Continental GT lineup with the W12 engine has undergone efficiency improvements and environmental measures. Through multi-stage transmissions and a brake energy recovery system, CO2 emissions have been reduced by 12 percent compared to previous models. CO2 emissions are 338 g/km, and fuel economy is 14.5 L/100 km (approximately 6.9 km/L).

The sleek front fenders are formed from durable aerospace-grade 5083 aluminum alloy at high temperatures using compressed air, employing advanced superforming technology. The dark-tinted radiator matrix grille and front bumper grille fitted to the front are an homage to the Bentley team that won at Le Mans in the 1920s.

The tire size is 275/35 ZR21, and the new 21-inch 10-spoke wheels are exclusive. These wheels can be chosen with a bright paint finish or a dark tint finish. The exhaust tailpipes also feature a spiral processing, exclusive to this model, reminiscent of the company's SUV concept, theEXP 9 F"EXP 9 F".

Inside, the "Mulliner Driving Specification" which is an option on the Continental GT, is standard equipment. The seats and door trims feature perforated leather hides with diamond quilting, and the headlining is embossed leather hide. The audio system comes standard with an 8-speaker system incorporating the latest balanced mode radiator technology, but an optional 11-speaker "Naim for Bentley" system, specially crafted by British audio manufacturer Naim, is also available.

The simultaneously released video captures its sporty performance, unimaginable for its size, and moments of it actually reaching its top speed of 330 km/h. The sound of passing at over 300 km/h is already closer to that of an airplane than a car.
