A "Royal Family's Official Car" Featuring Reliefs and Motifs Inspired by the Kingdom of Lucis

"The Audi R8 Star of Lucis," a limited production model, was announced at a Final Fantasy event in Los Angeles this past March, generating considerable buzz. This unique vehicle, a fusion of the virtual and real worlds, was created with the concept of being the "official car of the kingdom" as seen in "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV," a feature-length film that serves as an alternate story to Final Fantasy XV.

The base model is thenew Audi R8released in July. The car's body is primarily black, the most noble color in the Kingdom of Lucis, the game's setting, with relief carvings of arabesque patterns, said to be royal prayer motifs, adorning various points.

The wheels also recreate the world of Final Fantasy. They are designed with a motif of a sword, which is the national crest of Lucis and a symbol of the royal family's inherent abilities.

A special commercial was also produced, under the full supervision of the Final Fantasy XV development team. It depicts the creation of "The Audi R8 Star of Lucis" through the power of magic.

The price is 50,001,500 yen (excluding tax). Applications will be accepted via a special website starting November 21 (Monday), and the car will be sold via lottery.
