A limited run of 40 units of the high-end DS 3 model arrives in Japan

Peugeot Citroën Japon has set a limit of 30 units for the high-end DS 3 model "DS 3 Performance" and 10 units for the "DS 3 Performance Black Special." Sales have commenced.

The "Black Special" combines matte black and gold

The DS 3, born in 2010, has been active in events such as the World Rally Championship (WRC). Last year,DS Brandbecame independent from Citroën, and along with the compact hatchback model,DS 3received a facelift, and the racing division "DS Performance" was established. This season, they are also participating in Formula E, a race for electric vehicles.

The models introduced this time are both high-end versions based on the DS 3 Sport Chic, supervised by DS Performance. The powertrain features a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine with an increased maximum output of 153 kW (208 ps) and a maximum torque of 300 Nm (30.6 kgm), paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, a Torsen LSD is incorporated, and unique damping settings achieve a balance between handling and comfort. New design 18-inch alloy wheels are fitted.

The exterior of the "DS 3 Performance" comes in two variations: white "Blanc Pangée" and red "Rouge Aden." The "DS 3 Performance Black Special," on the other hand, combines matte black with gold, and the interior dashboard also features brilliant gold.

The steering wheel is on the right for both. The sales quantities and prices are limited to 30 units for the "DS 3 Performance" in Blanc Pangée (white) at 20 units and Rouge Aden (red) at 10 units, priced at 3.69 million yen. The "DS 3 Performance Black Special" is limited to 10 units and priced at 3.99 million yen.
