The Most Powerful Engine in the AMG 43 Lineup

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which only arrived in Japan this July,New E-Classhas already welcomed its first Mercedes-AMG model.

The powertrain features a newly developed 3.0-liter V6 biturbo direct-injection engine, made lighter with an aluminum alloy crankcase and cylinder head. It produces a maximum output of 295 kW (401 hp) and a peak torque of 520 Nm (53.0 kgm), making it the most powerful engine in the Mercedes-AMG 43 series.

Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and the AMG-developed "AMG 4MATIC" all-wheel-drive system, it optimally distributes power to all four wheels with a rear-biased torque split of 31% front and 69% rear, contributing to stability. The 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 4.6 seconds.

The suspension is also the AMG-developed "AMG Ride Control sports suspension." Additionally, the "Dynamic Select" system allows drivers to switch between five modes: "Comfort Mode" prioritizing comfort, "Sport Mode" for a sportier feel, and "Individual Mode" for custom settings of the engine and transmission.

The exterior also receives AMG-specific enhancements. The front grille features a dedicated design with a diamond grille and a single louvre, and it is fitted with 20-inch wheels, a first for the E-Class, creating a sporty aesthetic.

The interior boasts AMG-exclusive trim, and the seats are upholstered in Nappa leather.

The steering wheel is on the left, and the price is 11.49 million yen. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in late October.
