Body Grows in Size

Audi's "A5 Sportback" and "S5 Sportback," models that combine coupé-like styling with hatchback functionality, enter their second generation with this new iteration. The new "A4"A4," which has already been introduced in Japan, share the same platform, marking a comprehensive evolution.

The body dimensions are wider than the current model, and the wheelbase has been extended. However, by shortening the front and rear overhangs and sharpening the body lines, a dynamic proportion has been achieved.

Audi's signature Singleframe grille is rendered in a more three-dimensional and wider design, positioned lower than before. Furthermore, by placing the sharp-edged headlight units behind the grille, the front fascia achieves a taut design, emphasizing its sportiness. The side view features a flowing character line that not only imparts elegance but also tightens the body with a sculpted lower door panel, making the car appear more compact despite its size increase and evoking a sense of powerful performance.

The increased dimensions also contribute to a more spacious interior. Compared to the previous model, interior length has increased by 17mm, front shoulder room by 11mm, and rear knee room by 24mm. The luggage compartment also offers a standard capacity of 480 liters, further enhancing practicality.

These powertrains achieve up to a 17 percent increase in maximum output while reducing fuel consumption by up to 22 percent compared to the previous model.
