Lexus Unveils the UX Concept: A Compact Crossover Vision

A Compact Crossover Concept Unveiled


Lexus unveiled the UX Concept, a compact crossover concept model, for the first time in the world at the Paris Motor Show, which opened on September 29.

Interior Design: Sharp Front, Soft Rear


Until now,Rear ViewandInterior Details Revealedthe UX Concept, which had been revealed in part, has finally shown its full form.


The announced body dimensions are 4,400mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,520mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,640mm. Striking features include the curved, flared body lines, a low-slung stance, a voluminous spindle grille designed to surround the front grille, and sharp side mirrors made possible by the adoption of electronic mirrors.

Viewed from above, the exterior and interior are connected in an X-shape centered on the cabin, adopting an inside-out concept. The wheel arches, roof bars, and electronic mirrors are finished with the same material texture, creating a sense of unity and continuity with the interior of the cabin.


The tires are large 21-inch wheels, designed to integrate the tires and spokes. The doors are also distinctive, featuring a coach door design.


The interior is composed of a sharp-styled front and a soft-styled rear. The front features an ergonomic, driver-focused design structure utilizing advanced human-machine interface technologies such as holograms. Meanwhile, the rear creates a relaxing space.


The Paris Motor Show is open to the public until October 16 (Thursday). This vehicle represents Lexus's vision for the future of compact crossover SUVs.
