Hybrid and 1.2-liter Turbo Models Available

The Toyota C-HR was first unveiled as a concept at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.concept carSince its world premiere as a concept car, it has been exhibited primarily in Europe.Europecompact SUV. In Japan, it was also exhibited as a concept model at last year'sTokyo Motor ShowTokyo Motor Show.

Like the fourth-generationPriusPrius, the C-HR uses the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) as its platform. However, the lineup is not limited to hybrids; gasoline engines with turbochargers are also available. In addition to the "G" and "S" grades with a hybrid system combining a 1.8-liter engine and a motor, there are the "G-T" and "S-T" grades with a 1.2-liter turbo engine and four-wheel drive. This makes for a total of four grades.

The distinctive exterior largely follows the "C-HR Concept" unveiled at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show and Tokyo Motor Show. The front face adopts the common "Keen Look" that Toyota is promoting.

The sides of the body, said to be inspired by a "diamond," feature press lines and an accent effect that makes the lower part of the body appear chiseled. Furthermore, the rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillars, giving the impression of a two-door coupe.

The interior is available in two colors: black and licorice brown. Soft pads and metallic-look ornaments connect from the instrument panel to the door trim, creating a sophisticated and mature design for the driver's space.

For safety features, all models come standard with the "Toyota Safety Sense P" collision avoidance support package, which includes pre-collision safety with pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams.

The body colors include eight options, such as the newly developed Radiant Green Metallic and Metal Stream Metallic. While the release is scheduled for the end of the year, advance sales consultations will begin on the web in early November. Sales will be available at all Toyota dealerships. Pricing is yet to be determined.
