Improved Aerodynamics

The 2017 model of the "Nissan GT-R NISMO" made its debut on the grand stage of the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race, held until May 29th. Nürburgring is also where the GT-R NISMO has honed its driving performance, undergone tuning, and been developed.

The 2017 model,Standard Modelfeatures a new bumper at the front, similar to the standard model. The NISMO model is equipped with a dedicated carbon fiber front bumper, which generates significant downforce while further improving aerodynamic performance by drawing air around the wheelhouses.

The powertrain also receives special NISMO tuning, with the 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine producing a maximum output of 441kW (600ps), 30ps more than the GT-R, and a maximum torque of 352Nm (66.5kgm). This engine, also used in the GT3 championship, is meticulously assembled by skilled craftsmen in a dedicated cleanroom, one unit at a time, along with the 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The aluminum plate on the front of the engine bears the name of the "Takumi" (master craftsman).

Like the standard GT-R, the NISMO version also features a significantly refreshed interior. Alcantara is used for the upper part of the dashboard and the steering wheel. The center dashboard layout has also been changed, reducing the number of switches from 27 in the current model to 11. This simplification is accompanied by the introduction of an 8-inch touch panel monitor. The seats are leather-clad Recaro carbon bucket seats.

Body colors can be chosen from five options. As the GT-R is scheduled for release this summer, sales are expected to begin after the summer.
