DS 3 Also Receives a Facelift with "DS Wings"

Peugeot Citroën Japan announced on May 25th that the three-door hatchback "DS 3" and its open-top model "DS 3 Cabrio" will receive a facelift. They will go on sale starting Wednesday, June 1st.

New Wheel Designs and Additional Roof Colors

The DS brand, which became independent from Citroën in 2014 and was introduced to Japan last year, has already seen its flagship models,DS 5" andDS 4" sequentially updated from Citroën's iconic "Double Chevron" to the new grille's "DS Wings." Now, the remaining "DS 3" series has finally received its facelift.

The design retains elements such as the shark fin design on the side view, the floating roof that makes the roof appear to hover, and the 3D combination lamps at the rear. The front features new styling, including the "DS Wings" with the DS logo and LED lamps below the headlights.

New roof colors have also been added: Emerald for the Cabrio, and Emerald and Topaz for the hatchback. Furthermore, the wheel designs have been refreshed.

DS 3 CABRIO

The powertrain remains unchanged, featuring a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with a maximum output of 81 kW (110 hp) and a maximum torque of 205 Nm, paired with a 6-speed EAT transmission, as found in the Peugeot "308." The sporty "DS 3 Sport Chic" model exclusively uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine producing 121 kW (165 hp) and 240 Nm (24.5 kgm) of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Prices remain the same: the base "Chic" grade is 2.59 million yen, the "Chic DS LED Vision Package" is 2.74 million yen, and the "Cabrio" is 3.04 million yen. The sport grade "DS 3 Sport Chic" is priced at 2.99 million yen, a reduction of 6,000 yen.
