Expanded Luggage Compartment

Following the mid-size saloon "A4" released in February this year, comes the fully redesigned "A4 Avant." Like the A4 sedan, efforts were made to reduce driving resistance, featuring class-leading aerodynamic performance for wagons with a Cd value of 0.26, a 120kg weight reduction, and the adoption of the latest modular longitudinal platform "MLB evo."

The powertrain is also the same as the sedan, equipped with a 2-liter inline 4-cylinder DOHC engine. While specifications vary depending on the drivetrain, the FF "A4 Avant 2.0TFSI" produces a maximum output of 140kW (190ps) and a maximum torque of 320Nm (32.6kgm). The top-grade 4WD "A4 Avant 2.0TFSI quattro Sport" delivers a maximum output of 185kW (252ps) and a maximum torque of 370 Nm (37.7kgm). The transmission is also the 7-speed S tronic, the same as the sedan.

The exterior also follows the A4. With five people seated, the luggage compartment is 505 liters, 15 liters larger than the previous model, and can expand to a maximum of 1,510 liters when the rear seats are folded.

Safety equipment is also standard. The rearview camera, lane park assist, and cruise control are standard, with optional side airbags and park assist available.

Prices are 5.47 million yen for the "A4 Avant 2.0TFSI," 5.85 million yen for the "A4 Avant 2.0TFSI Sport," 6.26 million yen for the "A4 Avant 2.0TFSI quattro," and 6.53 million yen for the top-grade "A4 Avant 2.0TFSI quattro Sport."
