Enhanced Safety Features

Based on the "A-Class," the "GLA-Class" has been sold in Japan since 2014 as the most compact SUV in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. A new special edition featuring a striking contrast of white and black has now been released.

The base model is the "GLA 180 Sports." Its 1.6-liter turbo engine produces a maximum output of 90 kW (122 ps) and a maximum torque of 200 Nm (20.4 kgm).

The Calcite White body is accented with high-gloss black paint on various exterior elements, including the door mirrors, front grille louvers, and aluminum roof rails. It rides on 19-inch AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the black interior is enhanced with sporty red seatbelts.

For safety, the "Distronic Plus" adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist and "Blind Spot Assist," which warns of vehicles in the blind spot using radar, are included as standard equipment. These features are typically optional on the base model.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 Sports White & Black Edition is priced at 4.45 million yen (including tax), an increase of 330,000 yen over the base model. It is a limited edition of 220 units nationwide.
